What is campaign finance reform?
Campaign finance reform is, quite simply, one of the most important and intractable issues of our time. Over five billion dollars will be spent on federal elections this year, mostly by the wealthiest individuals and corporations. Accomplishing meaningful and exhaustive campaign finance reform would mean our elected leaders will answer to voters, not dollar signs. It would mean that people, not corporations, would drive the political conversation and legislative agenda. |
